Our Founder

Dr. Idong Essiet-Gibson

Dr. Idong Essiet-Gibson is a strategic capital and governance advisor with over two decades of experience across federal health systems, biomedical research, and institutional program leadership.

Her background spans leadership roles within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and Department of Defense, including NIH, CDC, BARDA and WRAIR-aligned initiatives, as well as advisory work with early-stage biotech companies preparing for institutional capital.

The Idyeas Group serves as the platform through which she engages select clients.

My perspective is informed by personal experience navigating healthcare systems, as well as years of engagement with clinicians, patients, and researchers across U.S. and global settings.

This has shaped a consistent focus in my work: ensuring that high-potential health innovations are not limited by capital misalignment. Many early-stage companies do not fail due to lack of scientific merit, but because funding pathways, milestones, and timing are not structurally aligned. My advisory approach is designed to address that gap.

In addition to advisory engagements, I serve as a strategic advisor to boards and executive teams navigating capital inflection points, federal funding integration, and institutional growth.
